Bromo is the most requested destination at NusaTrip and the reason many people land in East Java in the first place. Our midnight trip leaves Malang around 23.30, reaches the Penanjakan area before dawn, then waits for the sun to rise behind Semeru with hot coffee from a local stall.
After sunrise, the jeep takes you down to the sand sea to stand at the crater rim, continues to the savanna and the rolling Teletubbies hills, and returns to Malang by noon. The route works for families and needs no special fitness, just a thick jacket and proper socks.
